V6R1 is bringing major changes to RPG, WDSc, and DB2 for i5/OS. Join us - Jon Paris, Susan Gantner, Paul Tuohy and Skip Marchesani - at the next RPG & DB2 Summit in Orlando, March 11-13, and we'll fill you in on all the latest features, tips and techniques that will make your daily work more productive (and fun!)

We've lined up some of the most V6R1-savvy instructors from IBM to dig into the new release with you, including Barbara Morris (chief architect for the RPG compiler) and George Farr (manager of WDSc tooling and the RPG compiler), Kent Milligan and

Mike Cain (top i5 DB2 specialists). In addition, Summit favorites Scott Klement,

Aaron Bartell and Bruce Vining will help us cover other topics vital to RPG-centric development. Here's just a small sample of what we have in store for you:

V6R1 RPG Enhancements

Bye, Bye SEU: Time to Kick the Habit?

RPG Tricks and Techniques

Accessing "Foreign" Databases From RPG

Extending RPG Applications with PHP

DB2 for i5/OS V6R1 Overview

The Science and Art of Query Optimization (Double session)

Understanding Web Query

You can find a complete list of sessions and abstracts on our website. And be sure to take a look at the in-depth, 1/2-day pre-conference HeadStart Workshops: All You Need to Know About SQL in 4 Hours by Skip Marchesani, and WDSC/RSE Jump Start Workshop by Susan Gantner.

Just as important, these sessions take place in a relaxed, productive environment that promotes long-term retention of information. You'll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions, chat with instructors and other RPG/DB2 professionals, and take it easy occasionally in the Florida sunshine to let the information soak in.

Consider turning the Summit into a spring get-away. The conference hotel, the Radisson Resort Orlando-Celebration, features affordable, comfortable rooms with marble and granite bathrooms and complimentary High-Speed Internet. The resort also offers a large free-form pool with cascading waterfalls, two whirlpools and a 40' waterslide through a rocky grotto, lighted tennis courts, sand-based volleyball, a fitness center and jogging areas. You'll also find the Radisson conveniently located only 1.5 miles from Walt Disney World, with scheduled shuttle service to Disney World, Sea World and Universal Studios.

Register by February 22 for the low rate of just $1295 ($1095 for Summit Alumni), which includes breakfast and lunch each conference day plus a welcome reception and dinner on Tuesday. If your company sends 3 or more developers, lower group rates apply.

Whether you come by yourself, with a group of colleagues, or as part of a much-needed vacation, you'll return home bursting with new ideas and eager to implement the new techniques you learned.

Email or call us at 866-716-5409 if you have any questions. We would love to hear from you.

We hope to see you in Orlando!
